We are one people, one country, with one underlying dedication to decency and with myriad interpretations of how we might achieve that state, and we had best stand together because we will most assuredly fall separately. Think - the villians of the piece are sick, not religious.

Curriculum Vitae

If you have followed this link, I am guessing that you are just curious. This material is from my (Prof. Keating's) curriculum vitae - a sort of long-winded academic resume. What does "Curriculum Vitae" really mean? Well, professors always seem to have one. It lists the things that are usually considered the basis for professional credentials. Some of the inclusions are historic, some are very recent. Some remind me of the things my mother would have had fun telling to the neighbors (my dad still does). If you read things by date, a curriculum vitae can be almost like an autobiography. It strikes me that the value of this type of information to a student would be that it might assist you in the pursuit of your educational goals if you had some notion as to where the folks who lecture to you have been --- and maybe --- will be going. Reviewing the list of students whom I have known brought back some fond memories.

There are some things that a curious person might want to know which never show up in a "CV". For instance I have lived most of my life in New Jersey. My husband and I now live in Hunterdon County - in a solar house (it works!). The deer are lunching in our front yard.

For details on the Passive Solar House
For some additional scenic views of Hunterdon County
We once lived in Ridgefield Park, later in Park Ridge. I have also lived in Guttenberg and Dumont - he in Teaneck and Norwood. (Were we, are we, neighbors?) We have a son a few years older than most of you, a Rutgers graduate. Our family always seems to include a few four-legged characters whose only goals in life are to mess up the household. The picture on this page is of Phoebe. She is a Jack Russell terrier and fully believes she is in charge of the entire world.

Need more Phoebe? (Makes the world a brighter place.)
