Us
There are two ways we can easily exchange info.
1) GROUP E-MAIL: for the moment, the most practical (simplest) method for asking questions, offering answers or opinions, or expressing random concerns" seems to be group e-mail. Just putting the set of e-mails on each person's machine (in your address book) provides the most consistent results. A group can be called from your address book in the same manner a single address can be called.
If your e-mail address is on a company/university server and said co/univ objects to "private" mail, we can probably figure out how to establish a second address. We are not likely to generate so much mail that it could burden a co/univ server, but it really is their property. By using this site, we can keep anything bulky off such servers, but e-mail, which doesn't take up much space, still must have a stable address.
2) LIBRARY SHELVES (on your Homepage): There are many items which we might want to share and then "keep around" for later reference. Especially if one is using a smart phone to check e-mail, the best way to share info is by including a link rather than a copy. A more permanent copy could be placed on your library shelf. Something you developed yourself (graph, table, white paper on a topic of concern, etc.) could be placed on your shelves for access. If I had such material before you sent out the e-mail concerning it, I could probably set it up so that it would present itself via the standard "click on link."
the "Stuff" category on my homepage is a catch all. No reason why graphs and such could not go there instead of on your bookshelves. Unless you happen to program in html, it is easiest to send me what you want and let me put it where you wish. If you want to structure your own page, let me know and we can figure out what acct. names and passwords have to go where in your ftp program. I use Ws-Ftp Pro and somehow get things where I want them to be?
BTW, I can turn any jpg into a link button VERY easily and I can change the cloudy background to anythin you fancy. Just send the jpg's. (The background repeats vertically after a "page" has scrolled by.
CONJURE, SEND -----
1) A list of items you think might be useful: books, journals, T.V. programs, magazines, web sites - anything that you trust as an information source. Or, anything you think could be such a source, but which you do NOT necessarily trust. If you wish, I will add a link to anything there - if I can find one? Even paid subscriptions often have some free access materials.
2) Any materials you collect, or construct, that you think would help one, or all, of us when a) making buy/sell decisions, or b) just working to understand what seems to be happening in the market.
3) Any other item which you think might be useful when shared.
4) (PLEASE) Some form of self-introduction. Who you are?? I tried to figure out how I could do this, but, in the end, you are the only suitable source. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that if we can provide ourselves with a structure that allows comfortable communication, each of us will benefit greatly ( i.e., "the whole is >>> than the sum of the parts.") So, where are you coming from? If you can provide a sort of "self-description", it should strengthen the information exchange. Examples would be welcome - first draft or caste in stone. Maybe we can give each other ideas that work.
