THREE GORGES SITES
The 400km-long
Three Gorges is listed as one of the top ten scenic spots in China. Travel
programs available include the Three Gorges 
Tour and Lesser Three Gorges Tour, Zhongbao Island---the location of the
Three Gorges Dam,and Gezhouba Dam. The famous 
Three Kingdoms Battlefield Tour and the Qingjiang Tour will also

also popular tourist attractions. Natural scenery, historical sites and

The world-famous Yangtze Three Corges extend from White King town (west)
in Fengjie county, Sichuan Province to Nanjingguan Pass in Yichang, Hubei
Province . They are Qutang, Wuxia and Xiling. Travelling on board the ship
through the Three Gorges, one can not only have a taste of the grandeur
of the Qutangxia Gorge with its high mountains and lofty peaks, the serenity
of the Wuxia Gorge with its changing clouds and mists, and the perilousness
of the Xiling Gorge with its dangerous shoals and torrential waves, but
also visit the birthplace of the ancient beauty Wang Zhaojun(who offered
to marry the northern Hun Chief and did much to ensure peacebetween Han
people and the minority tribe) and the hometown of patriotic poet Qu Yuan(who
drowned himself because of persecution and his death inspired the Dragon
Boat Festivel), as well as the ghost city and the cliff coffins and many
other historic sites along the river banks.
